Supreme Keyboard Feel & Action

For the most authentic keyboard feel, the HP207e features Roland's acclaimed PHA II (Progressive Hammer Action II) keyboard with Escapement and Ivory Feel keys, which yields a heavier touch in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper. It also provides lighter resistance for pianissimo passages and stronger resistance for fortissimo. The white keys have a 2-piece structure that reduces the surface "click" noise when playing. The newly developed keyboard surface material is designed to absorb moisture, ensuring a secure, slip-proof feel that your fingers will love.

"Piano Designer" Sound Customization

For those who wish to customize the piano sound to suit their personal taste, the Piano Designer feature allows friendly access to a variety of tone-shaping controls. Fine adjustments, with visual confirmation from Graphic LCD display, enable you to get the sound qualities you want, such as piano resonance or the effects of different lid positioning. Create the perfect custom sound, and save it for instant recall.

Diffused Sound Emission

Unlike traditional direct-emitting loudspeakers, the HP207e employ a unique audio system that allows diffused omnidirectional sound emission. The player and the listener perceive the sound just as they would from a real acoustic grand piano, without a precise localization of the sound source.

Play- and Sing-Along Fun

For play-along enjoyment and skill-building experience, the HP207e lets you import songs and audio files (WAV format) from CD. Once you've imported your songs, utilize the Center Cancel feature for minimizing the pre-recorded vocals, as well as Pitch Change to transpose the key signature. Standard MIDI Files as well as WAV files can also be imported via USB memory stick. For quick playback, the HP207e is equipped with an Audio Input, which lets you connect an iPod® or any portable music player so you can jam along instantly with your favorite songs.
