The new HP203 digital piano brings new piano sound and a refined realistic touch to a beautiful cabinet design. It boasts a stunning 88-key multi-sampled piano sound, along with the new PHA II keyboard with a dramatically wider dynamic range. Continuous damper pedal for richer expressiveness provides an acoustic feel in a digital piano.
The HP203 features Roland’s finest 88-key piano sound, featuring true-to-life piano resonance and individual multisamples for every key. It’s touch responsive to the subtlest pressure and nuance — from the deepest, most powerful bass to the most delicate highs.

For the most authentic acoustic grand piano feel, the HP203 is equipped with the new PHA II keyboard with Escapement. This amazing new keyboard technology offers the same natural response as a grand piano, with a heavier touch in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper, and with lighter resistance on pianissimo passages and stronger resistance on fortissimo just like a well-maintained acoustic grand. It even faithfully reproduces the escapement “click feel” of a grand-piano action.
The HP203 offers seamless continuous damper pedal control, allowing you to obtain the perfect amount of damping or attenuation at all times. Experience the most realistic and expressive piano performance.
The HP203 is built into an attractive, elegant cabinet with front legs. Adding to the appeal are Roland’s gorgeous finishes: choices include classic Mahogany and a new high-gloss Satin Black (Will not be distributed in Europe) or traditional Rosewood and Maple (Sold exclusively in Europe).
The HP203 can play songs by itself* — an ideal for parties and gatherings. Simply import a Standard MIDI File via USB and enjoy as the HP203 plays the music automatically.
*Note: The HP203 does not have Roland’s player-piano-type “moving keys” feature.
More than just a great piano, the HP203 can play back WAV files via USB, and also play back audio CDs from an optional USB-CD drive (commercially available in market) for play-along fun. There’s even a Center Cancel feature for minimizing pre-recorded vocals so you can play and sing along to your favorite CDs.
